I am submitting this report outside proper protocol, knowing full well it violates my nondisclosure clause. I will not redact what I’ve seen.
The trial subjects are not stable.
They are not just hallucinating. They’re repeating sequences. Rhythms. Voices.
They know things they shouldn’t. About us. About VERDAC. About the engineers who never even entered the building.
One subject scratched into the glass with their teeth:
“THE SIGNAL IS NOT NOISE.”
Another sat motionless for nine hours whispering coordinates we traced to a collapsed coal shaft in Pennsylvania. We’ve never had operations there. Not officially.
When we cut power to the site after the anomalous vocal frequencies were detected, something kept talking. I repeat: power was cut. All monitoring equipment offline. Voice was still present.
I reviewed the tape myself.
There is no mouth. But it sings.
PHASE 4 FINDINGS: (Unedited)
- Subject ■■-14B collapsed during sleep cycle. EEG spike consistent with NREM parasitic insertion.
- ■■-09 recorded whispering backwards for 34 minutes in a voice that was not their own.
- ■■-27 has no memory of the last 9 days but drew an accurate floorplan of Site Theta, which has been offline since the 2003 incident.
I no longer trust the isolation chamber protocols.
I no longer believe we are in control of what we’ve pulled through.
Verdac’s waveform tech does not interact with consciousness.
It invites something else in.
I am sealing all doors to the sublevel. If this reaches anyone, burn the files and don’t answer the third tone if it calls back.
We were never meant to digitize instinct. We were never meant to echo the void.
